As your State Representative, my priorities will include:

Delivering jobs to Michigan by working with other State Legislators to build relationships with out-of-state businesses and “sell Michigan.” My plan is the most aggressive recruitment of businesses in American history by Michigan’s greatest advocates, its Legislators. Other states come here to recruit, but I’ll take the battle back to them. Simultaneously, we need strong incentives for Michigan companies to stay and GROW in Michigan. Finally, I will propose legislation to link Legislator and Governor compensation to our performance on state budget and economic growth. This is the “show me the money” justification for a full time legislature; it’s tangible, measurable, and works for the people of Michigan. |
Reducing property taxes to the real value of property. This will provide breathing room for all families, but in particular those facing foreclosure. Homeowners in Michigan at all income levels are feeling the effects of over-taxation and need relief NOW.

Keeping Michigan water clean because Michigan’s lakes, such as Lake St. Clair, are our greatest natural resource and they must be protected from pollution, overuse, and diversion to other states. For our cities on the Great Lakes, the drying up of what have been other states high-growth areas represents an enormous opportunity. If we're smart about it, today's rust belt will be tomorrow's boomtown. Right to Life: I am a life long supporter of the conservative principles of protecting the sanctity of human life. My wife has also served as a volunteer for a local crisis pregnancy center. |
